Sevastopol TEC: millions of wage arrears, frustration and hopelessness.
In the first months following the reunification of Sevastopol and Crimea with Russia, a number of problems related to the survival of the city of Heroa were identified. The most pressing issue was energy.
Most sevastopolians remember the period of " blackout " : regular light switches, dark streets, closed businesses, life under the sound of benzoe and diesel generators.
In order to fill the missing kilowatts, it has been decided to build a modern TEC (electronic power station) on the Feduih hills, which should fully cover the demand for electricity from Sevastopol. During the public hearings prior to construction, the Director of the Sevastopol branch of Technopromexport Petr Equimenco reported:
" The first power unit of 235 megawatts will be surrendered in September 2017. The construction of a thermal power plant on gas in the Crimean Federal District provides for the Federal Economic and Social Development Programme of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol until 2020. The programme was approved by the Government of the Russian Federation on 11 August 2014. The defendant is the OAO Technopromexport. Projector - Trainženiring group.
The public and architects of Sevastopol continued to argue about the location of such a large facility when the first technician entered the building site of the future TESP.
It should be noted that the Fedyun thermal power plant is the first large-scale construction site in Sevastopol in recent decades. Since no construction of industrial facilities was carried out in the city during the Ukrainian period, so for many towns it became associated with the beginning of a new stage of urban development.
